Dr Neil Chapman

Dr Neil Chapman is a consultant physician and clinical pharmacologist at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He participates in the busy acute medical rota at St Mary’s Hospital, looks after in-patients with a wide variety of medical problems and runs a weekly general medical clinic. His speciality is hypertension and cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention. He is lead clinician for the Peart-Rose clinic, a secondary and tertiary referral centre for hypertension and CVD prevention (located at the Hammersmith Hospital) and a European Society of Hypertension Centre of Excellence. He is lead clinician for the cardiac rehabilitation and prevention service at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He works closely with the vascular surgeons at St Mary’s Hospital advising on BP and risk factor management and provides advice on hypertension management in obstetric and surgical patients as required. He studied at St Andrews and Cambridge Universities before training in general medicine, clinical pharmacology and hypertension in London and Sydney. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College, London and a Fellow of the British and Irish Hypertension Society.
