GMC reg: 2252713.I qualified in medicine (MB ChB) in Liverpool in 1975. After general training and obtaining the MRCP(UK) I specialised in medical oncology Bradford, Guy’s Hospital and mainly in Charing Cross Hospital, London where completed training in 1987. I proceeded to MD and was elected FRCP Edinburgh and FRCP London. I won the Croom Prize of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1989. I have been a consultant medical oncologist in Airedale General Hospital between 1987 and 2015, between 1987 and 1993 I was employed by Bradford University and I am now clinical lead for research in Airedale NHS Trust. My clinical practice has been in the treatment of common epithelial tumours with a bias towards treating lung and gynaecological cancers. I have a research interest in the use of tumour markers and in factors affecting access to cancer treatment. I continue in private medical practice.
