GMC reg: 4736088Dr Matt Ginks is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital (part of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). He is involved in the investigation and treatment of patients with all forms of heart rhythm (arrhythmia) problems including catheter ablation and device therapy. His research and clinical interests are centred around catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias, predominantly atrial fibrillation. He is an active member of Heart Rhythm UK. He has published over 50 peer reviewed papers. He is one of the editors of the Oxford Handbook of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Catheter Ablation, and the Cardiac Arrhythmia section of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. BSc (Hons) University of London 1997 MBBS (Hons) University of London 2000 (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals) MRCP 2004 MD 2011 (Research into Cardiac MRI and Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy Winner of the Eric Prystowsky Prize at the Heart Rhythm Society) 2009 Clinical training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London 2009-2012. Consultant Cardiologist since 2012. Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians since 2015.
