Dr Mark Tremelling

Dr. Tremelling qualified at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London 1997. He has been a consultant gastroenterologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and clinical lead for inflammatory bowel disease since February 2010. Dr. Tremelling has a busy NHS practice with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel diseases and irritable bowel syndrome. He is a Bowel Cancer Screening Program colonoscopist. Dr. Tremelling developed his special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) during a successful 3 year research period in Cambridge in 2005 undertaking molecular research into the genetic basis of IBD both independently and in collaboration with other research groups within the UK. He was awarded an MD by University of London 2009. He continues to participate as an investigator in numerous clinical trials of novel therapies in inflammatory bowel diseases.
