GMC reg: 3241101Dr. Mark Hudson-Peacock is our Consultant Dermatologist and Medical Director. He was the Senior Consultant Dermatologist in the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, a post he held from January 1996 until January 2014, when he left to focus his energy to bring a new medical treatment to the NHS . He is a general dermatologist with specialist interest in skin and laser surgery. Dr Hudson-Peacock graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine (UWCM) in 1987, having gained a degree in biochemistry in 1984. He was awarded the first Geoffrey Hodgson dermatology prize to be awarded by the UWCM, and this inspired him to follow dermatology as his career choice. He gained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in March 1990, and was awarded his fellowship from the same college (FRCP) in 2000. He gained further training in dermatological and laser surgery in Europe and North America, and specific training in the art of sclerotherapy in Toronto. He regularly lectures on a variety of dermatological subjects, and has presented work both nationally and internationally. His main clinical interest is the management of skin cancer using surgery and laser applications. He is passionate about providing the best cosmetic result in a surgical procedure. His neat surgical results have been appreciated by many patients over the years. Dr Hudson-Peacock established his private dermatological and laser practice at The Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury in 1996. He then expanded into the Spencer Wing based in the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. With the practice continuing to grow as demand for skin and cosmetic treatments increased, he acquired a newly refurbished building in Castle Street in Canterbury, which continues to offer a comfortable environment in which to provide modern and comprehensive skin care, unique to this part of Kent. This now well-established clinic continues to be the only specialist Dermatology and Laser clinic in East Kent.

My areas of particular interest are in general dermatology, skin cancer (including excision and repair of all types of skin cancer, use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and topical chemotherapy), laser surgery (for birthmarks, tattoos, pigmented lesions, acne, rosacea, thread veins etc), and other aspects of aesthetic dermatology (sun aging and all that entails). I also see children and advice on their various skin concerns. I am also a coloproctologist where it relates to skin disease (pruritus ani, fissures, anal tags etc), but also treat internal haemorrhoids using eXroid electrotherapy (see exroid.com), having introduced it to the UK previously.
