I have more than 20 years experience in treating children with gastro intestinal problems and also performing endoscopy for children. I am the lead consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology  in Paediatric GI, Liver and Nutrition center at King’s College NHS Hospital, a major national and international referral centre for children with GI and liver problems including transplantation of liver & small bowel. I completed MBBS in 1996, then completed fellowship at the Royal College of Paediatrics in 2001, Diploma in Child health and Diploma in Paediatric Nutrition in 2006. I have gained experience in various international centers of excellence including UK, Australia and Japan. My research interests includes GERD, Eosinophilic esophagitis, Constipation, IBS and IBD. I have authored chapters in Textbooks of Paediatric Gastroenterology, publishes articles in peer reviewed journals and also lecture in national and international meetings. I was also the Chair for Endoscopy group in UK ( British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2018-2021 ) and one of the few GI specialists to provide balloon enteroscopy (Single and Double) service for children in UK. I also train & supervise pediatric junior doctors to perform paediatric endoscopy. I run regular paediatric endoscopy courses for trainees and the director for Paediatric endoscopy course at King's. I treat children from 0-18 years of age with all gastrointestinal conditions including food allergies and complex GI conditions, who might need special investigations. I arrange noninvasive tests like stool (for calprotectin), Ultrasound, MRI, pH studies, hydrogen breath tests, food allergy tests and pancreatic function tests appropriately prior to considering diagnostic / therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy or enteroscopy.
