I trained at University College Hospital, London. My cardiology training was in the South East Thames region, primarily at St Thomas' and King's College Hospitals, London. I completed my PhD in Ischaemic Preconditioning and Myocardial Protection at University College Hospital, London (with a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship) and have published widely in this area. As part of my interventional training, I spent a one-year fellowship in Quebec, Canada, training in complex angioplasty via the trans-radial (wrist) approach. I was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust in 2010. I specialise in radial (wrist) coronary intervention (angioplasty / stenting) and structural cardiac intervention.

I am interested in all aspects of General cardiology. Cardiovascular risk factor management. Angina. Breathlessness. Palpitations. Percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty and stents). Pacemakers and implantable defribrillators. Coronary angiography. Rotablation. Chronic total occlusions treatment. Aortic valvuloplasty.
