Dr Adam Dangoor

After qualifying in Nottingham, Dr Dangoor worked in general and emergency medicine, as well as paediatrics in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. He then commenced his training in medical oncology in New Zealand, and completed training at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, a leading cancer centre and the largest single site cancer centre in Europe.   Dr Dangoor also carried out a period of three years research as a Cancer Research UK Clinical Fellow studying the immunotherapy of cancer and cancer vaccines, at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research. This led to the award of a higher degree (MD) by the University of Manchester.   He currently works at the Bristol Cancer Institute, Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre, where he treats patients with lung cancer and sarcoma, aged 16 yrs and above. He is also Chief Clinical Information Officer, and previously network lead for lung cancer, and lead for chemotherapy. As well as providing care for patients with cancer, he also recruits patients to clinical trials, supports improvements in healthcare digital technology, and supervises and teaches oncology trainees, junior doctors and medical students. He is currently the President of the British Sarcoma Group, and has been a lead author on national sarcoma treatment guidelines.
