Dr Derek Harrington

Dr Harrington trained in general and interventional Cardiology at the Brompton hospital, St Thomas’ and St George’s hospitals. He completed a clinical MD at the National Heart and Lung institute researching heart failure.  Dr Harrington was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2000 and his NHS practice is at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. He provides a general cardiology service and he sub-specialises in the management of coronary heart disease and in interventional cardiology treating stable and emergency patients with coronary stent procedures. He also has an interest in the management of patients with cardiac failure, atrial fibrillation and unexplained breathlessness.  In addition to his clinical roles Dr Harrington is the Director of Medical Education at MTW NHS Trust.
