Mr Arvind Mohan

I am a traumatologist, consultant orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon based in London and Surrey. My areas of expertise include treatment of the elbow, hand and wrist, as well as shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement. I have gained my experience in trauma and orthopaedic surgery by working across major trauma centres in the UK and abroad which gives me a unique capability to treat various upper limb problems. The ethos of my practice is based on doing the best for my patients and working closely with wider teams including therapists to achieve this goal. A comprehensive upper limb surgery practice helps me to treat the upper limb more holistically. I attend to patients privately at BMI Shirley Oaks, North Downs, Spire Gatwick and Spire St Anthony's Hospitals using the most up-to-date tools and methods. I provide minimally-invasive, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for treating conditions of the shoulder such as rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, frozen shoulder and ACJ arthritis. I was elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed valuable fellowships at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (hand and wrist) and Wrightington Hospital (shoulder and elbow). I have an expertise in treating sports injuries of the upper limb and completed the diploma in sports and exercise medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I have a special interest in developing green and sustainable surgical care models and have initiated and developed wide awake hand surgery in out patient settings. I regularly share my expertise and research findings as a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the British Society of Surgery of the Hand, as well as through my various contributions to peer-reviewed journals. I work as an advisor for developing and creating trauma and orthopaedic practices in various commonwealth countries.
