GMC reg: 3304532I am a Consultant Knee Surgeon with over 19 years experience. I practice at the Spire Hospital, Manchester where my entire practice is devoted to knee surgery. I undertake all aspects of knee surgery. I have undertaken over 1000 total knee replacements, over 1000 anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions and 5000 arthroscopic (Keyhole) knee operations. Review of the National Joint Registry in shows that my revision rate (rate of re-do) of a cemented Total Knee Replacement and Unicompartmental Knee Replacement is half of that expected for the volume of work that I do. Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) are published by the National Joint Registry. In all 3 modalities I had more patients improve than the national average. There is a newly formed National Ligament Register that is looking at the outcomes of knee ligament reconstructions. This shows that my patients improve more than the national average for both function and wellbeing.
