Mr Alexander Dinneen

Mr Alex Dinneen is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in surgery of the foot and ankle. He has extensive experience in managing all aspects of foot and ankle problems including deformity, arthritis, sports injuries and acute fractures. He offers a bespoke ‘patient focused’ multidisciplinary approach working closely with specialist therapists and clinicians. His practice is underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics which helps to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients. Alex graduated from Guys & St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003 and completed his specialist training on the London South West Thames Orthopaedic training rotation. He has experience from working overseas both in New Zealand and Australia. Alex has extensive, high level fellowship training from the world-renowned Perth Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (POSM) group in Western Australia in 2014 and latterly in the UK working in Brighton and Surrey alongside three past presidents of the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. Alex returned to his family home county of Surrey in 2016 with his consultant appointment to The Royal Surrey Foundation Trust, Guildford. In addition to his established Foot and Ankle practice Alex is the Clinical Director for Trauma. In this role he takes pride in developing practice and supporting colleagues from many departments in addition to his own. He is actively involved in education both locally and nationally and helps coordinate the South London, Kent, Surrey & Sussex registrar teaching programme to train the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
