Andrew had arthritis in both of his knees, so was struggling to walk any distance or stand for any length of time – It’s important to have your mobility, and it was important to Andrew that he got his situation sorted. Here we share Andrew's story:
"I went to Circle Health Group’s Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow for my knee replacement. Their recommendation was the replacement of both knees, approximately three months apart. I had my left knee replaced in June. I spoke with friends who had their knees, or hips, replaced and a couple of the consultants at Circle Health Group had been recommended. It was an important procedure, and I needed to make sure it was done by someone I could trust – and Ross Hall Hospital was the right hospital for me!
"I am completely satisfied with both the hospital and consultant and would recommend them. I used Chrysalis’s 0% interest 10-month plan. I thought, why would I not use the 0% interest option when it’s there? It made sense to make use of the interest free option.
"I found the process, from start to finish, straightforward. Although, having all the paperwork online was a little daunting at first – I’m not used to everything being digital, but it was made efficient and straightforward for me, so I felt in safe hands.
Second knee operation
Andrew had the same operation on his right knee in September and is looking forward to the recovery and being able to walk longer distances.
"Getting mobile again, for me, has been the best thing since my surgery. I’m looking forward to being able to walk longer distances again and not feel restricted.
"I also love playing a good game of curling, which I hope to get back to once I have recovered from the two new knees!
