Jayne is an experienced and highly skilled management consultant, audit committee chairman and non-executive director specialising in change and risk management, financial recovery, consumer and stakeholder engagement and directing major programmes.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Jayne is currently a non-executive director with Scottish Government, and the Coal Authority. She is also heavily involved in consumer issues and is Chair of Electricity North West Limited’s Independent Oversight Group, set up to consider the company’s performance against its business plan commitments as they pertain to stakeholders and customers.
Jayne is also Chair of the Joint Audit Panel for the Metropolitan Police Service and The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, an external member of the Audit Committee of the Information Commissioner’s Office, and a non-executive director of Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS).
Jayne also continues to run her management consultancy business, Scott Ross Partnership, which undertakes various assignments, mostly within the public sector.
She previously sat on the Boards of Ofgem, the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, the NHS Counter Fraud Authority and the Marine Management Organisation.
Jayne was appointed for a second term as PHIN Chair in November 2024.
